BREAKING NEWS :- TPEO NE PROMOTION AAPVA BABAT LATEST PARIPATRA

The state's primary education department has taken a new initiative to improve the quality of education through strict supervision and manpower. A new post of Taluka Primary Education Officer (TPEO) has been created in it.

Like the District Primary Education Officer (DPEO), these officers will be responsible for minute study, quality education monitoring, enrollment of more students and formulation of strategies to improve the quality of education in the region.

According to department officials, all the 225 talukas in the state have set up TPEOs every year this year to monitor primary and higher primary education in their jurisdiction.

The main reason behind creating a new post is that despite having taluka level officers in most of the departments, the education department does not have one. Like health officials, development officers and TPEOs are also expected to give administrative relief to DPEOs.

"So far we have no block (taluka) level officers. Now that we don't have it, we have an idea to improve the quality of education in primary schools, ”said Sangeeta Singh, chief secretary, primary education department.

Officials explained that a DPEO There are about eight to nine talukas under and so it becomes a challenge for them to complete the file work, formulate strategies to improve the quality of teachers and students and conduct observations to identify problems. Now that the work and responsibilities have been shared by TPEOs and DPEOs, the results will be visible in a few years after the appointment of new officers, an official said.

TPEO Will be entrusted with the task of performing administrative duties, controlling the dropout ratio of students in primary schools and ensuring 100 per cent enrollment. They have to study the norms of Right to Education (RTE), ensure its strict implementation and take strict action to mention some issues regarding non-compliance schools, implementation of mid-day meal scheme, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan project etc.

The department has decided to recruit officers for the new post - by direct recruitment and by promoters - the details of which are coming out.
