The London Opera House is the home of the Royal Concert Orchestra and is home to the London Philharmonic, the Royal Concert Orchestra, London Musicians’ Union, Royal College of Music, Royal Academy of Music, Royal Northern College of Music and London School of Economics. It is a world leader in providing high quality, high quality music to audiences worldwide.

The Schola is a major event for the world of opera, with the most prestigious opera houses in Europe and all over the world holding concerts. It is also a regular place for concerts on major cruise liners and cruise ships. In 2008 the Schola was re-named after the famous opera house in Bologna, which is a symbol of the city’s rebirth.


The premiere event at Guildhall Studios for orchestras, chamber orchestrAssemblies du Marien, Opera House and Drama Musik show in celebrationof their latest repertoire and first performance as part ensembles for opera production. This intimate rehearsal will provide an opportunityfor audiencesto discover new musical instruments they might not have even considered before (from traditional harp to more modern trombones) – so that by the time the final version reaches audiences, they may well be inspired to buy some or find it easy indeed!


The Schola is the London Philharmonic’s largest and most versatile orchestra. It comprises of over 300 members from across the London region, performing a wide range of music, from classical to popular music. The orchestra is based in one of the world’s most spectacular concert halls – the Barbican, in Fulham. The orchestra has played on stages in the UK, Europe and Japan.


Concert at The Savoy will be the first event in a series of concerts that the band will be playing across London’s capital. The programme is a wide-ranging one, with music from Bethoven to Erik Satie, reflecting the varied work of the Schola, which is heard in cathedrals and churches all over the world, in London’s opera houses and on numerous film tracks.
